Blord claimed to have devices marketed as iPhone 17 Pro converted from older iPhone XR models, pricing them around ₦400,000 to ₦450,000. 


VDM challenged him, calling out what he alleged was overpricing and deceptive practices. He produced videos claiming he traced the “conversion factory” to China. 


The claim: you’re essentially holding an XR engine inside a 17 shell — a “new body, old engine” scheme.

Things took a turn when VDM reportedly sent explicit videos (private clips) featuring Blord — and those videos went viral. 


Blord finally broke his silence by posting a video dancing to indigenous music — a move many interpreted as passively addressing the scandal. 


Critics and netizens have jumped in. Some are even asking whether Apple Inc. could sue the duo for alleged trademark breach, counterfeiting, or intellectual property violations. 


Social media critic Oriretan Honour dragged VDM, Blord, China, and even the Nigerian government into the drama. He condemned the high price tags and the alleged manipulation.
